An epoxy system for semiprecious stone slab processing and for crack filling of marble. 1kg of resin and 250gm of hardener.
Description
This epoxy can be used on expensive coloured marble. Since this epoxy have longer setting time, it fills cracks very well compared to other material and gives high gloss also. This epoxy is also given for semi-precious stone slab. Good stability to solar light.
Method of use
For making semi-precious slab
- Prepare the bed to make semi-precious stone slab and preheat it to 30-40°C temperature.
- Spread the semi-precious stones throughout the bed.
- Heat resin and hardener separately in water bath at 35-40°C.
- Mix resin and hardener in 4:1 ratio and pour in the bed to the required level.
- This will dry in 10-11 hours and we can polish the surface after 24-36 hours.
For white and other colour marble
- Grind the surface to grit 100 and leave them to dry for 16-20 hours so that absolutely no traces of water are found on the surface especially on cracks.
- Mix resin and hardener in the ratio 4:1 by a weight and apply the mixture uniformly on the full surface of marble.
- Accumulate additional quantity of this mixture over the cracks and holes.
- Leave the surface to dry for 10-11 hours.
- Start polishing starting from grit 100 after 24-36 hours.
