Description
Epokitt epoxy resin is a product resulting from the reaction between liquid epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A, modified with a bifunctional reactive diluents. Due to low viscosity and low surface tension, it penetrates into very thin cracks and adheres very well to the surface. It is mainly used to fill joints for white and other colour marble. Colour pigments can be mixed to match the colour of stones. It can be used to fill joints horizontally as well as vertically.
Method of use
- Grind the surface with 60 grit of abrasive or 50 grit of polishing pad.
- Thoroughly clean and dry the surface.
- Withdraw the appropriate amount of resin and half the quantity of hardener.
- Stir & mix them nicely and apply on the surface to be treated. Take the quantity of resin which can be applied within 15-20 minutes at a time.
- It starts getting gel in half an hour and completely dries in 2-4 hours.
- The surface can be polished after 4 hours starting from grit 120 of abrasives or 100 of polishing pad.
- Do not return unused catalyzed resin back to the tin.
- After use, close the tin in order to avoid hardening of resin on contact with air.
